The winter has really arrived at Sylvtjønnhytta!
Senorge.no reports over two meters of snow and 30 - 40cm of fresh snow has been reported for the next couple of days.

The warm weather has been hard on the snow, but there is still nice conditions for crosscountryskiing in Kyrkjebygdheia. Next week cold temperatures and snow have been reported, so then there will be more snow in the trails.
The cottage is fully booked up to and including Easter. Now the booking for spring and summer has started. It is lovely that so many people enjoy their stay at Sylvtjønnhytta!

Christmas and New Year are celebrated, and winter has come to Kyrkjebygdheia. Children and adults enjoy skiing and sledding, the ski slopes are great and the toboggan run outside the cabin is good!
Even though the sun is still low in the sky, it warms well. It goes towards lighter times!
At Sylvtjønnhytta much of the winter is starting to fill up, but there are still some weekends availible.

The cottage prepared for the winter, and the first snow has already been seen.
Heating cables throughout the 1st floor and fireplace make sure the cabin is warm all year round, and the ski slope is right by the cottage.
Christmas / New Year and some weekends are already booked this winter, but there is still a lot of vacancy. See the calendar for more details.

Spring and summer have been fantastic at Kyrkjebygdheia, as so many other places in Norway this year.
The late summer and autumn are a great time in the mountains, and there are still vacant weekends at Sylvtjønnhytta this fall. The area offers many nice hikes, and in many of the trails are cleared this summer.

The ski trip is soon gone on Kyrkjebygdheia, and it goes fast towards the spring and nice hiking in the mountains. Lovely sun, trickling streams and the smell of spring provided a great setting for skiing to the Skornetten a few days ago.

Easter 2018 was fantastic at Kyrkjebygdheia! Still a lot of snow, so the winter will last for a while.

The snow conditions at Kyrkjebygdheia are fantastic for Easter. The snow melt has not started to any significant degree, and it is expected that fine winter conditions will last well in April.
